New EU/EPSO open competitions: the road to the European Institutions

If you are applying for an EPSO Competition and want to multiply your chances of success in joining the European we invite you to take note of the following.
Maltese applicants for EPSO competitions have been on the rise since 2004. So far Maltese candidates had to face the selection process without quite knowing what to expect: a recognized problem now being effectively addressed by Malta University Consulting Limited (MUC) that is launching: MUC – Your Gateway to a career with EU Institutions; A structured package of regularly held training courses/modules to prepare Maltese candidates for New EU/EPSO open competitions: The Road to the European Institutions
On the 17th November, 2010 EPSO published nine AST1 competitions for Maltese Assistants/secretaries and large numbers are expected to apply.
MUC has secured the expert advice, assistance and active participation of experienced European Union Officials and EU Experts in EPSO selection procedures. These high profile lecturers will be brought from
MUC will give you special training and the opportunity to judge progress and identify weaknesses by opting to sit for mock exams assessed by specialized staff as well as subsidiary training to address candidate’s weak areas. The first of these training events is being announced for 21 December 2010 and will be targeting the competition for 43 Maltese Assistants (AST 1) published on the 17th November. This will therefore include:

¨ Numerical reasoning: skills, testing and tips
¨ Abstract reasoning: skills, testing and tips
¨ Professional capability, accuracy and precision: skills, testing and tips
¨ Professional capability, prioritizing and organising: skills, testing and tips
¨ Knowledge in the secretarial field: skills, testing and tips
MUC’s intensive training workshop/s will give you the tools to confidently face the tests by elaborating in details the steps of the competitions, the methodology and possible best practices at every step, while providing tips and study methods to ensure that you:
¨ Fully understand the tests and the skills that competitions are intended to verify
¨ Acquire knowledge and methodologies to approach tests with better success
¨ Obtain guidance for an optimal preparation
